Chatback

The goals of Chatback are (and have always been) to: 

- Through spoken word, allow our community to become more comfortable with talking about topics such as mental health, racism and sexuality. 

- To celebrate the residents of Stockport’s creativity by creating a creative community to improve the wellbeing of the community.

Chatback is a Stockport based poetry project to bring attention to the beauty of speaking your mind. We want to change what people think about poetry and who can be a poet. During the course of the workshops particpants will learn techniques to challenge your writing and encourage independent thought and collaboration. At the end of the project, we will compile our work into a zine and celebrate it with a launch event for members of the public to celebrate with the artists, writers, graphic designers, printers and facilitators of Stockport!
